A company is looking for an Allowables Representative responsible for supporting the Allowables Manager in managing claims.
Key Responsibilities
Run specific payer under and over allowed reports for submission to carriers
Complete necessary appeals and follow up on them with carriers
Consult with the Allowables Manager regarding unusual circumstances and perform additional duties as requested
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum three years of medical billing experience preferred
Experience in Accounts Receivable or Patient Accounts is essential
Computer literacy, particularly in Excel and Word, is preferred
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 medical coding guidelines is beneficial
