New Way Academy is dedicated to approaching justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives with an intentional global mindset that places value and recognition on the diverse community members of New Way.ResponsibilitiesDeliver instruction to high school classes of up to 12 students in the subject area assigned, adapting curriculum to meet the needs of each group throughout the dayDifferentiate instruction to remediate what students need to learn and push them to rigorous content understandingIntegrate best practices by providing students with accommodations and modifications based on their learning needsMaintain and utilize accurate and up-to-date data regarding student achievementEmpower students through high expectations, consistent routines, and strategies for successContribute to the drafting of each student's quarterly report outlining their academic and social progressDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with parents, students, and colleaguesWork collaboratively with the other level and content teamsCharacteristics & QualitiesPassionate about empowering students with unique learning profilesInnovative and creativeStrong planner with an emphasis on executionEffective communicator, both internally and externallyTeam playerHigh level of integrity and professionalismWillingness to go above and beyondHighly organized and flexible time managementPhysical Requirements and Work EnvironmentRegularly works in standard office or classroom conditions and climate, occasionally works outdoors in varying weather conditions and climateRegularly uses close and distance visionWorks at a computer screen for extended periods of timeWorks at a desk for extended periods of time, frequently moves around campusAbility to occasionally move items 30 lbs. across the campusEffectively deals with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contactsStamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptionsNew Way requires employees to be physically present on campus, with limited exceptions that are at the sole discretion of the School. Under extraordinary circumstances, some or all of the workforce may be required to move to a remote working environment. Additionally, certain individuals may also be approved for limited remote work, based on the nature of the job description, specific circumstances, and only with written prior approval by a direct supervisor.Education, Certificate, and RequirementsHolds valid and up-to-date teaching certificate in ArizonaBachelor's degree or higher with a preferred emphasis on special educationPrevious teaching experience, preferably at a high school levelCompensationCompetitive compensation based on experience in a range of $55,000 to $65,000 per yearFull benefits including medical, vision and dental plansJ-18808-Ljbffr
