The team members must be able to read and understand blueprints, make car repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR rules and keep good repair records. As well as ensuring all company guidelines, quality assurance and safety rules are followed and met while performing job duties.JOB DUTIESInterpret job work orders to perform required repairsCoordinate and complete repairs in an efficient manner and within assigned hoursFollow all safety rules, keep work area clean and comply with all AITX EHS PoliciesEnsure AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are metJOB REQUIREMENTSAbility to read and write English at a high school levelAbility to work in the heat and cold and in all-weather conditionsComfortable working around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks.Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut and gougeAbility to follow oral and written instructions including basic blueprints and schematics.Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measureAbility to pass pre-employment physical and drug screenAITX is an Equal Opportunity Employer
