CNC Machinist With ProgrammingWeekend Shift - 5:30AM - 6:00PMFriday - SundayPay Rate $25. - 26. / hourJob SummarySafely and accurately operate a CNC or manual machine that fabricates tubes, rods and components used in hydraulic cylinders. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position is performed in a Manufacturing environment. The employee will work around moving mechanical equipment; may be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Indoor Warehouse temperatures may be affected by outdoor conditions. Noise level is moderate to loud.Responsibilities and Duties of a CNC Machinist:Operates a CNC machine to fabricate tubes, rods and componentsOperates a manual machine for fabrication.Able to read mechanical drawings for components, tubes, rods and make needed calculationsUse of quality control equipment, such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.Ensures preventive maintenance is conducted as necessaryMaintains equipment dailyFollows safety and security policies and proceduresReports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions to the appropriate individualMaintain clean work environmentAdhere to Six "S" standards and proceduresCompletes task and/or projects as assignedKey Competencies:Ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings Must be able to break down and start up CNC.Ability to use standard manual quality control equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges.Ability to interpret instructions and respond to management's directionMust be able to communicate (verbal and written) clearly with co-workersAbility to apply basic mathematical principles such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and fractionsDemonstrates a sense of urgency and attention to detailExperience Requirements of a CNC Machinist:High school diploma or GED and minimum 1 year machining experience or;Equivalent combination of education and experience requiredExperience in a production environment preferredProgramming experience preferredBenefits of working with PrideStaff a CNC Machinist:Medical, Rx, and Wellness BenefitsDental and Vision Plan OptionsShort-term Disability401(k) Retirement PlanHoliday PayCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $26.00 Per Hour
