Laborer- Solid Waste

The City of Bristol, Virginia has an immediate opening for the position of Laborer with our Solid Waste department. Duties include, but not limited to, assisting with the maintenance and repair of the Solid Waste Landfill Gas Collection System and the Solid Waste property, buildings, and grounds. Also assists in the collection of solid waste as assigned. Reports to the Solid Waste Operations Manager. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Experience in construction and/or maintenance activities, operation of heavy equipment, or any combination of training and experience is preferred. Other requirements include a valid driver’s license with a CDL preferred. A VDOT certification in Work Zone Traffic Control is also preferred. Subject to background check.
