Senior Manager of Strategy & Operations
About The RoleThe Senior Manager of Strategy & Operations plays a critical role in supporting and scaling Firebird’s artist management platform. This is a highly cross-functional, hands-on role for an execution-oriented generalist who brings structured, quantitative thinking to complex problems and helps translate priorities into action.Working closely with the VP of Artist Management and other department heads/executives, this role owns key initiatives, supports decision-making through analysis and modeling, and ensures follow-through across teams. Success in this role depends as much on strong communication, reliability, and accountability as it does on strategic and analytical ability.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy, Analysis & Decision SupportSupport strategic planning, prioritization, and execution across artist management initiatives. Build financial and operational models to evaluate scenarios, tradeoffs, and new initiatives. Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership. Prepare concise strategy briefs, operating updates, and performance summaries. Market Research & Business DevelopmentDevelop and maintain a clear, data-informed view of the artist and manager landscapeUtilize existing Salesforce tools as a power user, optimizer, and evangelist; ensuring data quality and strong system usage, training and supporting internal users, creating dashboards/reports, etc. Analyze quantitative signals such as streaming consumption, chart performance, touring data, ticket sales, and key festival lineupsIncorporate qualitative inputs, including word-of-mouth, relationship-driven insights, and industry conversations, into prioritizationPartner with artist managers and leadership to translate research into focused outreach and business development efforts. Operations & Cross-Functional ExecutionSupport the operational backbone of the artist management team, ensuring consistent processes and communicationPrepare agendas and materials ahead of meetings; capture clear notes, decisions, and next steps. Hold yourself and others accountable for follow-through on agreed priorities. Collaborate across teams to identify friction points and implement practical, scalable solutionsTrack decisions, action items, and progress against initiatives - following up across stakeholders, flagging risks early, and helping to drive resolutionCoordinate inputs, timelines, and deliverables, including for senior leaders when needed. Help maintain goal-setting, KPI tracking, and regular review rhythms. Qualifications5+ years of experience in operations, strategy, business operations, consulting, or similar roles. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort with Excel or Google Sheets and basic modelingExperience conducting market or industry research and synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative inputsCRM fluency, Salesforce-specific experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly reliable and detail-oriented. Low-ego, team-first mindset; willingness to get into the weeds and coordinate among executives to help the team succeedMBA or equivalent experience in a highly analytical environment is a plus. Passion for music and creative industries is a strong plus.
