Senior Software QA Analyst Job Description Beast Code's fast-growing portfolio of projects has created a need for our Quality Assurance (QA) department to grow to keep up with demand and maintain high quality.
We are looking for a Software QA Analyst to join our team and help us develop software that is making a difference. The Beast Code team works hard to maintain the company's sterling reputation and credibility, and this position plays the vital role of medium between product development and user experience.
Our QA team is looking for someone who is much more than a fact checker and button pusher — we need a true testing guru who understands the software and will put its features through the ringer to ensure a product is its best version. Thus, you'll need to be a detail-oriented person who can hyper-focus on the smallest of details. That's right, we actually love perfectionists!
As a Software QA Analyst, your daily activities could include any or all the following:
Working with project teams to create Test Plans
Helping develop and refine project requirements for testing
Creating and maintain project test cases and cycles in a test case management tool
Executing/leading testing on a project
Working with QA automation engineers (SDET) to create automated test cases
Using code repository tools (e.g. Git, GitLab)
Using testing suites (e.g.Selenium)
Using task management tools (e.g. GitLab Issues)
Executing manual tests
Using industry standard networking practices
Using Test Automation integrated into a DevOps CI/CD solution

Have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Have a deep understanding of software QA fundamentals
Have at least a basic understanding of task management tools
Can develop test plans and test cases for products to include functional testing, non-functional testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, and others as needed
Capable and comfortable with the majority of the possible tasks listed above
Team player who is comfortable working in an Agile delivery model collaborating within a Scrum team to achieve common goals
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Provides guidance to development teams and other Analysts on QA practices
You score Bonus Points if you
International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification
Have conducted QA testing in training and/or gaming software platform
Research the latest industry standards and trends, and enjoy developing ways to improve processes
Are familiar with the Beast Code line of products and services
Can develop test plans and test cases for products to include functional testing, non-functional testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, and others as needed
Use scripts and testing tools to develop automated tests to replace redundant manual processes

Software QA Analyst I: $52,600.00 - $82,300.00
Software QA Analyst II: $66,600.00 - $105,500.00
Software QA Analyst III: $84,500.00 - $124,700.00
Software QA Analyst IV: $101,000.00 - $147,200.00
Software QA Analyst I
Work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Typically requires 0 to 2 years of related experience.
Software QA Analyst II
Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
Software QA Analyst III
Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.
Software QA Analyst IV
Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role of the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
Other Requirements
Currently hold or have eligibility to obtain and maintain the proper US DoW issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver's license
