Posted: Mar 18, 2026APPLYSaw Operator (Day Shift)Aagard - Alexandria, MNbusiness_center Full-timeSalary: $18.50 - $21.00 HourlyApplication Deadline: Apr 30, 2026ManufacturingKey ObsessionsOperate Equipment EfficientlyOperate and maintain saw equipment to support production schedules and fabrication needs.Handle, move, and deliver material using forklifts or other material handling equipment.Accurately record part movement and material usage in the ERP system.Monitor equipment performance and adjust processes to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.Produce Quality PartsEnsure cut parts meet dimensional and visual specifications.Identify and record issues in SharePoint to support corrective action workflows.Support team members by contributing to efficient and accurate fabrication processes.Communicate quality concerns proactively to prevent defects and maintain high standards.Maintain Equipment and SafetyPerform routine preventive maintenance on saw equipment and report issues promptly.Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.Identify potential safety hazards or equipment issues and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.Knowledge And ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experienceAbility to read and understand the proper use of measuring instrumentsAbility to operate or learn to operate a forklift safelyMust have a valid driver’s licenseBasic shop math skills as rounding, positive/negative numbers, metric systemExperience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific softwareAbility to prioritize tasksMust be highly safety consciousObservant with attention to detailConscientious of meeting and exceeding the internal customer requirementsAbility to take action and be proactiveStrong time management and organizational skillsPassion for excellenceValue and build a culture of measurementAbility to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the timeAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climbBenefits OfferedAt Aagard, we believe in investing in you—your health, your career, your financial future, and your well-being.
