Now hiring: Labor TechsYou will be responsible for operating and properly maintaining vacuum and hydro excavation trucks throughout the course of the job.Starting Pay: $18+/hr (Pay is commensurate with experience).About our company: AIMS Companies (AIMS) provides turnkey inspection and cleaning services to the municipal and industrial community. We are an organization that has a safety-first value system and are committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.Typical duties include:Moving debris with shovelsCrawling and kneeling in confined spaces and access areasLifting and removing manhole coversPicking up, sorting, and delivering inventoryWorking around equipment and machineryWorking around biohazards such as blood-borne pathogens and sewageAssist in operating hydrovac equipment in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces.Performing routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipmentPreparing work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazardsResponsible for keeping the equipment clean inside and outResponsible for following company policiesCompleting paperwork, forms, enter service tickets and records as neededAttend safety meetingsFollow all company and OSHA mandated safety polices and proceduresFollow local and federal DOT Regulations while assisting in the operation of machinery and vehiclesGood communication with other employees and customersRegular attendance as part of a 2-man crewThis list is not a full description of the duties of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the company's operational needs.Minimal Requirements include:Ability to operate all types of required equipmentMinimum of 18 years oldAbility to communicate in English both verbally and in writingMust pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkMust be authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of confined space entry, cleaning sewer lines, and construction safetyCustomer service and communication skillsProblem-solving and decision-making abilityWork Conditions:Work is performed outside in all types of weather; frequent exposure to heat, rain, and cold conditions. Exposure to chemicals and other hazards. Must be able to physically wear PPE include hard hat and safety glasses. Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time, bend and twist at the waist, climb stairs, and walk without assistance. Occasional use of special visual or auditory equipment such as goggles and earplugs.
