After all, it is their home!Guardian Angel Senior Services provides a variety of services to the elderly and disabled in the comfort of their own homes, to maintain the client's independence by assisting with activities of daily living.Location:Leominster, Princeton, Fitchburg, Lunenburg, AshbyGardner, Westminster, Hubbardston, Templeton, Winchendon,Sterling, Lancaster, Clinton, Bolton, BerlinGroton, Ayer, Shirley, Townsend, PepperellA Homemaker is recognized as a mature, responsible individual who has been trained to provide a variety of support services as outlined below, which are necessary to maintain a disabled or dependent person safely and comfortably within the home setting.Qualifications:The supportive home care aide is a mature person who:Is at least 18 years old.Must have access to internetDriver's LicenseOn hand reliable vehicleIs flexible, sensitive to the needs of others, reliable, and able to cope with emergencies.willing to successfully complete the required 60 Hour- Personal care training program as well as the 40-hour Homemaker training or its equivalent for Home Health Aide Training and has demonstrated competency.Prior home care experience helpful.Is able to read, write, and speak English.Is able to carry out and understand directions and instructions.Is able to record messages and document daily activities.Is physically and emotionally capable of performing the job. Refer to physical specifications.The Homemaker must attend a minimum of six hours of in-service education. The full-time employee is required to attend the six hours annually. The part-time employee is pro-rated according to hours worked. (30 min every month)Tasks:Performs household services such as:Planning, preparing, and serving mealsPurchasing food and household suppliesMaking and changing bedsCleaning and dusting household suppliesMopping floors (with a mop) and vacuumingCleaning bathroom and kitchenWashing dishesLaundering, sewing, and ironingTaking trash and recycles out.**Guardian Angel Senior Services, Inc. cannot guarantee any number of hours in any given week. The agency cannot guarantee work close to home or within walking distance or on a bus line.The employee is responsible to have his/her own transportation at all times during shifts worked.
