Build your future with us - apply today!ResponsibilitiesTest, troubleshoot, and repair transmitters, switches, and control valvesCalibrate and adjust set points on a variety of different instrumentsCoordinate with control room to stroke and function test valves and dampersInstall and trouble tubing and air actuated instrumentsObserve functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacementRepair faulty equipment or systemsCompletion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and LockoutsStrong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilitiesPositive attitude towards safety with the ability to work collaboratively with the teamGood written and verbal communication skillsFocus on customer satisfactionQualificationsJourneyman Instrumentation ticketExperience working turnaround(s) or construction in an operating Petro Chemical facilityMust have project/construction experience; ideally working in a SAGD, or Oil and Gas FacilityValid government-issued photo IDCSTS-2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 (site specific)Energy Safety Canada H2S AliveEnergy Safety Canada Fall ProtectionEnergy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry MonitorEnergy Safety Canada Aerial Work PlatformCompletion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and LockoutsPositive attitude towards safety with the ability to work collaborativelyGood written and verbal communication skillsFocus on customer satisfactionPre-Access Drug and Alcohol testingWorking ConditionsWorking both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditionsWorking in and around noise and dustWorking at heightsWorking in a confined spaceMust be clean shavenPersonal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety bootsPhysical RequirementsStand or walk for long periods of timeAbility to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50kgClimbing stairs/ladders regularlyExposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand toolsWho We AreStuart Olson has been positively impacting the businesses we serve, the communities in which we operate, and the lives we touch since 1911.
