Plant Accountant / ControllerLocation: Roberts, WISalary: Up to $135,000Type: Direct Hire | Full-TimeOur client, a growing manufacturer in the electronics, or complex assembly manufacturing, is seeking a hands-on Plant Accountant / Controller to support plant-level financial operations and partner closely with leadership.This role will own cost accounting, margin analysis, FP&A, and month-end close, while working directly with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to drive profitability and improve financial performance.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & CloseLead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesPrepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysisEnsure GAAP compliance and support internal/external auditsCost Accounting & AnalysisManage standard costing, labor rates, overhead, and material costsAnalyze manufacturing variances (labor, material, scrap, PPV)Partner with Operations to identify cost savings and efficiency improvementsMargin & ProfitabilityPerform product and customer-level margin analysisEvaluate quoting assumptions vs. actual performanceIdentify risks and opportunities to improve gross marginFP&A & ForecastingLead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningBuild models for headcount, capital spend, and pricing decisionsTrack KPIs such as productivity, utilization, and cost per unitBusiness PartnershipAct as a financial partner to plant leadershipSupport new program launches and NPI cost trackingCollaborate with Supply Chain on inventory, cash flow, and materials strategyProvide input on make vs. buy decisions and capital investmentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3–7+ years of manufacturing / plant accounting experienceStrong background in cost accounting and margin analysisHands-on experience with month-end closeERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite, etc.)Advanced Excel skillsPreferred:Electronics, or complex assembly manufacturing experienceFP&A exposure supporting plant operationsCPA, CMA, or MBAWhy This RoleHigh visibility role partnering directly with plant leadershipStrong mix of accounting + operational financeOpportunity to make a direct impact on plant performance
