Applications without an active PE license will not be considered.About The RoleFEI is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to serve as a Civil Project Manager supporting land development projects from concept through completion. This is a client-facing leadership role responsible for technical quality, regulatory coordination, project financials, and team management.This position is not intended for EITs or unlicensed engineers.Key Responsibilities Serve as Engineer-of-Record and Project Manager on land development projectsEnsure project quality, efficiency, and compliance with standards of practice and company policyLead client relationships and coordinate with regulatory agenciesManage budgets, schedules, and project accountabilityOversee and mentor Assistant Project Managers and TechniciansPrepare and review plans, reports, specifications, permits, and construction documentsLead or attend meetings with clients, municipalities, boards, and agenciesUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design including:Subdivisions, grading, erosion controlWater, sewer, and stormwater systemsStormwater management and final platsCoordinate permitting with outside agenciesRequired QualificationsActive North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)5+ years of land development engineering experience2+ years of project or people management experienceProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3DStrong communication, organization, and leadership skillsValid North Carolina Driver’s LicensePreferred ExperienceAjera or similar financial/project management softwareClient-facing consulting experienceFamiliarity with land surveying principlesWhy FEIRelationship-driven culture with real project ownershipLeadership role with decision-making authorityStable workload and predictable schedule Mon–Thu 7:30am–5:30pm | Fri 7:30am–11:30amFEI does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or staffing agencies.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
