Helper/Stocker

Job Description Description:Position OverviewThe Stocker/Helper will be the person responsible to help the driver unload and stock merchandise following the proper safety guidelines on different job sites. This person must be able to lift weight, walk stairs while lifting material, be able to recognize inventory and be comfortable helping customers and coworkers to assure material is properly stocked and customer is satisfied.Requirements:· Knowledge of safety procedures· Ability to write discrepancies on tickets· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing· Ability to adhere to established material delivery guidelines· Capability of executing all tasks safely and efficiently· Excellent customer service ability· Must have own transportation to and from work· Bilingual – Spanish*Essential Job FunctionsHave full knowledge of inventory to assure correct material is received, loaded and unloadedResponding to and deal with customer communication by following ticket instructions - no incorrect material on deliveriesMake sure correct material is loaded before leaving warehouseMaintain constant communication with the driver and loaders to avoid errorsHelp driver mark discrepancies on ticket and take back to Logistics Department before truck leaves warehouseStock material following ticket instructionsHelp driver to turn in complete paperwork to Logistics DepartmentTake proper safety tools and supplies to every jobsite deliveryEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and driver to improve overall delivery serviceAttend monthly warehouse meetings to review opportunities for efficiency within the shipping and delivery processBe willing to help your driver and coworkers when time requires itSupport driver checking tickets before leaving the warehouse, returning from job sites or vendor pick upsCommunicate with Safety Manager when necessaryReport work injuries the same day they occurReport absences in advance to supervisor to help coordinate daily deliveriesDemonstrate a positive attitude to show customers their business is appreciatedOther duties as assigned
