If you applied previously, you must apply again to be considered.What You'll Do:Administers medication (e.g., oral intramuscular and intravenous) and monitors patient medication compliancePerforms treatments and performs or assists with nurse's sick callAssists with doctor's sick callPerforms or assist with nursing management of chronic care clinicsResponds to emergencies providing emergency care and cardiopulmonary resuscitationPerforms subjective and objective assessment of patientsCollects vital signs and timely documents all findingsCollects urine and/or other bodily fluid specimensPrepares patients for release or transfer to other facilities (e.g., intrasystem or out to court) by reviewing patient care, transfer summaries or release summariesEnsures discharge medication orders are completed and timely forwarded to pharmacy servicesParticipates in work-related training and institution training exercises.Provides assistance to other healthcare staffInvestigates and documents problem areas or areas of concernReviews shift report from preceding shift(s)Assist physicians with medical proceduresAssumes duties of other nurses during absences;Counsels/provides education to patients regarding healthcare maintenance and prevention of disease;Participates in quality assurance activitiesProvides training and work direction to new nurses, agency nurses, licensed practical nurses, and/or hospital aidesServes as a resource person for other healthcare and security staff regarding healthcare mattersProvides orientation and training for new healthcare personnel at the direction of the Nursing SupervisorServes as the lead clinical authority on site in the absence of the HCA, QIC, medical director and/or advanced level provider staffParticipates in group programmingParticipates in health and wellness initiativesPerforms administrative duties as indicatedAttends meetingsSchedules multidisciplinary team meetingsAssumes the duties of shift charge as assigned by the HCA making shift work assignments and adjustments as necessaryPerforms or assist with inventory and ordering of medical suppliesAssists ancillary staff as needed to ensure patient care needs are metStarting pay is approximately $88,000 based on location/shift assignments.Ohio has joined the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), which went into effect January 1, 2023.
