Analytical Development/Quality Control Associate

Overview: Jecho Laboratories, Inc. (Jecho) is a biopharmaceutical company developing innovative therapeutic biologics, including therapeutic monoclonal antibodies, cytokines, immunotoxins, and vaccines to address a broad range of diseases as well as treatment of cancer and infectious disease. The company is located in Frederick MD and has multiple drug candidates at various clinical stages. We are seeking a highly energetic and capable individual to join our analytical assay development group. Qualified individuals will participate in the design and development of analytical methods and will perform routine tests. The candidate will receive general instructions and assignments from his/her supervisor and accomplish the tasks with minimal supervision. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, well-organized, and highly productive. This presents a tremendous opportunity for expanding an individual’s knowledge and career. Job Functions: Conduct analytical assay development and support process development for various projects. Generate SOPs, technical reports, and other related documents. Perform general lab tests, such as plasmid preparation, protein concentration determination, PCR, SDS-PAGE, CE-SDS, ELISA, HPLC, and cell culture etc. Maintain lab supplies, reagents, and common equipment. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor in biological science or related scientific disciplines, with 0-3 years’ experience in biotech or pharmaceutical company. Fast learner for instrument operation and for data analysis. A highly motivated personality is a must. An accountable/responsible personality is a must. Multi-task ability and excellent team player is a must. Willingness to take on new responsibilities. Previous hands-on experience of analytical technologies, such as PCR, SDS-PAGE, HPLC, ELISA is a plus. Proven record of trouble shooting is a plus. This position may require you standing/sitting/walking in the lab for routinely 8 hours and sometimes up to 12 hours, as well as lifting weight up to 30 pounds.
