Benefits Specialist (Post Falls)
Overview:We're hiring a Benefits Specialist to support the day-to-day administration of our employee benefits programs and serve as a helpful, reliable resource for employees.You'll be the person people go to when they have questions, need help, or just want someone to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. You'll handle enrollments, updates, and ensure everything stays accurate and organized behind the scenes.Benefits can be confusing. Deductibles, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums... they all sound important, and most people aren't totally sure what the difference is.That's where you come in.If you've worked in benefits before (either internally at a company or on the insurance side), you already know how important the details are... and how much people rely on you to get things right.At the end of the day, this role is about being helpful, being accurate, and making something complicated feel simple.This role is designated as hybrid. Initial training and onboarding will take place on-site in our Post Falls, ID office to ensure you're set up for success. After approximately the first 30 days, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week, depending on team needs and performance.Pro tip... Cover letters are important to us!Responsibilities:Respond to employee questions about benefits and leave of absence (clearly and helpfully)Process enrollments, qualifying life events, and benefit changes accuratelySupport open enrollment from start to finishWork with vendors and insurance carriers to resolve issuesMaintain clean, organized, and accurate recordsHelp ensure compliance with benefits-related regulationsHandle sensitive and confidential information appropriatelyIdentify issues and fix them before they become bigger problemsRequirements:3-5 years supporting employee benefits administration (enrollments, changes, employee support) or experience in claims, member services, or benefits support at an insurance company or brokerExposure to open enrollment, qualifying life events, or leave of absence processesExperience working in an HRIS or benefits administration systemUnderstanding of how medical, dental, and vision plans workExperience reviewing, processing, or explaining claims or coverageCustomer service mindsetAbility to handle confidential information with discretionPay: $30-35 per hourWhy you might like this job:You'll like this job if you enjoy helping people and don't get frustrated when things don't make sense right away.Benefits issues rarely come in clean.
