Technology Procurement Specialist

The Technology Department of one of the fastest-growing accounting firms in the country is seeking a Technology Procurement Specialist who is motivated to learn, excited to collaborate and passionate about delivering outstanding results. This individual will have a direct impact on our firm’s mission of serving as a catalyst for those striving to achieve their highest potential. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with Management to coordinate administrative, business development, and operational efforts for the Technology Advisory team.What You’ll Do: Main point contact for all hardware, software, and equipment for the clients of the technology teamAssist with vendor management for key partners, such as Dell, Cisco, and distribution partners, and othersContribute to establishing best practices for ordering and invoicing to ensure correct margin is obtained on each orderIdentify and negotiate strategic vendor relationshipsManage efforts in areas such as incentives, vendor changes, relocation of suppliers, design changes, etc.Identify excess, obsolete, and discontinued products Assist Account Manager on PC refresh plans for all clients and manage the timeline to obtain best pricing for hardware purchasesDevelop and maintain metrics to monitor vendor performance and defining work focus activities and projectsDirect communication all vendors Protect the financial performance of the organization by identifying potential supply chain issuesParticipate in Quarterly Road Map planning meetings with Account Managers on key clients to determine upsell opportunities for clientsPerform cost analysis on standard products to ensure we are getting the best possible pricePerform market analysis to ensure we are selling products for the best possible marginPrepare client invoices and assistance with various accounts payable / accounts receivable duties as necessaryWork with management to develop marketing strategies and campaigns that line up with vendor specials or incentivesUtilize the internal customer relationship management (CRM) system to document activities, track opportunities, and support client procurement workflowsAssist with managing client software and license renewals on a timeline fashionWork with top clients to build relationships for all hardware and software purchases Manage special projects related to supporting sales team and trade shows, etc.What We’re Looking For:  Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook; and knowledge of basic office equipmentAbility to negotiate costs, terms, SLAs, and incentives while managing multi‑party vendor and distributor relationships (Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.)Awareness of supply‑chain risks, including identifying EOL/EOS products, backorders, and required substitutions, and effectively communicating impactsAbility to navigate vendor and distributor portals such as Dell Premier, Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW), TD SYNNEX, and Ingram Micro (or equivalents)Ownership of ordering, invoicing, and audit‑trail processes with a focus on improving accuracy and cycle timesExcellent oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skillsOutstanding prioritization, organization, coordination, and time management skills to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines and apply protocols to coordinate flow of materials and correspondence within the OrganizationDemonstrated ability to handle a wide range of demanding inquiries effectively and diplomatically from a variety of internal and external sourcesEffective at negotiating costs and contractsStrategic thinker to investigate automation for manual processesYour Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in business, or similar degree preferred, but not required2-4 years of experience working in an office environmentThe stated pay scale reflects the range that Anders reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and firm business practices.Salary Range$70,000—$80,000 USDWhy You’ll Love Working HereAt Anders, taking care of our employees is a top priority.
