Brief DescriptionKitchell is seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join our Northern California region in Santa Rosa and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented Construction Services companies in the United States.OverviewLead construction management services for public safety projects as an Owner’s Representative, ensuring successful delivery from procurement through completion. This role oversees project controls, contracts, budgets, schedules, and team performance while coordinating with clients, contractors, and design professionals. The Project Manager also drives risk management, enforces safety standards, and supports continuous improvement across the organization.Duties And ResponsibilitiesProviding PM/CM Consultant Services as an Owner’s Representative over a public safety project.Ensures operations are executed in accordance with company project management procedures and policiesensures delivery and adherence to contractual requirements and that all aspects of owner contracts are accomplishedManage the procurement phase and development of RFQs and RFPsOversight of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirementsCoordinate, direct, and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entitiesManage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the clientIdentifies and manages risk on the project, and advises and confers with regional executive prior to implementing risk mitigation actionsActively participates on internal teams that focus on continuous improvement of the companyEnsures workplace health and safety policies and procedures are clearly communicated and understood by direct reports and enforces rules fairly and uniformlyRequirementsEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline is preferred8 to 10 years of industry experience with 5 or more of those years being in Management is preferredExperience working on public safety projects is preferred.Knowledge And SkillsEffective presentation skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations to the end users, stakeholders, board of education is requiredProficient user skills with the MS Suite of tools and Bluebeam is requiredWorking knowledge of standard industry tools such as P6 and Procore is strongly preferredEffective verbal and written communication skills to foster and maintain interpersonal relationships is requiredProvide leadership and financial management support to the project team is requiredLicense and CertificationsA valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, free from suspensions or restrictions, is required.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in an office, an office trailer, and/or in a construction jobsite environment. Conditions regularly include exposure to outdoor elements, hot/cold temperatures, wet conditions, noise, atmospheric conditions, and cramped quarters. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, talk or hear and use hands to finger, feel and handle; frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must frequently lift and or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.Travel RequirementsThis position is performed on location at the project site which are all essentially in the Santa Rosa area. The Company’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of various factors, including job-related skills, relevant education and experience, abilities of the applicant and equity with other team members.
