GD³ is dedicated to driving innovation and providing tailored solutions to advance drug discovery and development programs.Role DescriptionWe are seeking an accomplished and skilled Senior Research Associate to perform in vivo and in vitro bioassays on mice and rats. This is a full time, on-site position. The Senior Research Associate should have: a good understanding of scientific methods, sufficient knowledge to take the lead performing basic and complex rodent experiments, and excellent communication and computer skills. Must be capable of working in a highly interactive and multidisciplinary team environment. Rodent surgery skills are required and IV dosing experience and familiarity with rodent models of diseases is a plus. Responsibilities:· Perform basic and more complex in vivo assays and other bioassays in rodents for validation of potential drug development targets and to characterize pharmacological compounds· Set up and conduct experiments with minimum supervision· Collect and record research data and experimental procedures in laboratory notebook· Suggest and implement modifications to the experimental procedures and data analyses to increase data reliability and time efficiency· Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the relevant equipment· Maintain inventory of supplies· Practice proper handling and restraint of mice and rats· Prepare animals for dosing, necropsy or other procedures · Administer test articles through a variety of routes · Accurately weigh animals and perform clinical observations· Perform weekend work on occasion, if required.· Perform basic animal identification techniques· Perform caliper measurements· Collect blood/tissue specimens· Train personnel · Perform other duties as assignedRequirements:· Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 2-6 years of experience with in vivo mouse and/or rat biology· Excellent knowledge of mouse physiology and experience with in vivo mouse procedures · Ability to use web resources or AI to perform literature searches pertaining to research· Ability to compile and clearly communicate experimental methods and results for presentation to supervisor and team members· Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as dosages, concentrations, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.· Developing knowledge of biostatistics · Ability to use scientific reasoning and problem solving in an experimental setting· Ability to understand and follow established protocols· Proficiency in the use of computer applications, including word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentation software etc.· Basic to intermediate knowledge of information technologies and AI · AALAS certification is not required but is a plus.· Biochemical and Molecular Biology skills are a plus.We Offer:Competitive Salary Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Short and Long Term Disability Life Insurance Dependent Care Flex Spending Account Voluntary Policies (Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness & Supplemental STD) Legal Plan & Identity Theft Protection 401(k) Plan Paid Vacation & Holiday Business Casual Environment Credit Union Visit us at Disease Modeling | Genesis Drug Discovery & DevelopmentInvivotek, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
