IT Project/Program Manager (Level 3) Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Duration: 12-Month Contract Pay Range: $47.50-$52.50/hour Position OverviewThe Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex IT initiatives supporting a Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy retail business. This role oversees planning, execution, risk management, and successful delivery of projects related to billing, pricing, sales, and retail platform systems. Key ResponsibilitiesIT Project Management & DeliveryManage the full project lifecycle from intake and planning through execution, go-live, and stabilizationDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, dependency tracking, and cutover strategiesOversee day-to-day execution while managing scope, timelines, budgets, and delivery risksLead status reporting, escalations, and decision tracking with clear accountability for outcomesBilling Systems LeadershipLead a large-scale billing transformation initiative consolidating multiple legacy billing platforms into a unified enterprise solutionManage testing activities including SIT, UAT, parallel billing, and mock cutoversCoordinate go-live readiness, production releases, and post-implementation stabilization effortsPricing Systems & Deal EnablementOversee delivery of projects supporting pricing engines, governance workflows, and deal structuring toolsCollaborate with Sales, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams to align pricing solutions with business requirementsEnsure seamless integration between pricing platforms and CRM, quoting, contracting, and billing systemsManage release planning and enhancement deployments related to pricing model updatesSales & CRM EnablementLead delivery initiatives for CRM, quoting, proposal generation, and contract workflow systemsManage projects spanning lead-to-contract and contract-to-bill processesPartner with stakeholders to support broker, direct, and strategic sales channelsDrive user adoption and operational readiness for new sales and automation capabilitiesFinancial & Governance ManagementTrack project financials and ensure alignment with approved budgets and business casesPartner with Finance teams on forecasting, capitalization, and variance reportingMaintain audit-ready project documentation and governance complianceEnsure traceability between approved scope, funding, and delivered outcomesStakeholder & Cross-Functional LeadershipServe as the primary IT delivery lead for business and technology stakeholdersTranslate business objectives into executable technical delivery plansProvide clear and actionable updates to leadership and project teamsDrive alignment across IT, Finance, Operations, and business groups to resolve blockersRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience8+ years of IT project management experience with progressive delivery responsibilityProven experience leading enterprise system implementations or transformation programsExperience supporting billing, pricing, sales, or financial systems in complex environmentsStrong understanding of project financials, WBS structures, and IT governancePreferred QualificationsExperience within energy retail, utilities, or other regulated industriesExposure to Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Gas and Power business operationsExperience managing multi-system, multi-vendor integration projectsFamiliarity with Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery methodologies...
