Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team and help us continue to provide thoughtful and efficient designs for our clientsRequirementsRegistration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in MEP building systems design for higher education, municipal, K-12, and/or commercial facilitiesProficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD requiredStrong communication, coordination, and analytical skills. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop electrical system designs from concept through constructionDesign lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems that meet project requirements and codesPrepare drawings, specifications, and calculations in Revit or AutoCADPerform load calculations, circuiting, panel schedules, and equipment sizingConduct field investigations, site observations, and existing system assessmentsReview submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction administration supportParticipate in interdisciplinary coordination and quality control reviews to ensure accurate, high-quality deliverablesAssist in mentoring junior staff and sharing technical expertise across the teamSkillsStrong understanding of electrical power distribution, lighting design, and fire alarm systemsFamiliarity with applicable codes and standards (NEC, IES, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.)Ability to produce complete electrical design packages including plans, one-lines, panel schedules, and detailsExperience with short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies preferredKnowledge of renewable energy and sustainable design principles a plus.
