Legal Director | Estate Planning

For my client, a well-established independent advisory firm with multiple offices across Belgium, we are looking for a Director Estate Planning to strengthen the Family Office team in Hasselt. The organization supports family businesses, entrepreneurial families, and high-net-worth individuals with tailored advice on wealth structuring, estate planning, and business transfer. Their multidisciplinary approach combines financial, tax, legal, and strategic expertise, always with a strong focus on personal service and long-term relationships. Role Manage complex client files related to wealth and estate planning. Analyze legal and fiscal issues and independently propose pragmatic solutions. Draft advisory reports in collaboration with internal specialists. Maintain professional relationships with notaries, bankers, and external advisors. Review draft deeds, contracts, and other legal documentation. Stay informed about legal and tax developments and monitor market trends. Contribute to the further commercial growth of the practice. Profile Master’s degree in Law or Economics; additional specialization in taxation or estate planning is an asset. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in estate or wealth planning within a bank, law firm, consultancy, or notary office. Strong expertise in inheritance law, matrimonial property law, gift and inheritance tax, and business succession planning. Knowledge of corporate law and corporate taxation is considered a strong plus. Client-focused with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach. High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential matters.
