Database DevOps Engineer - Clearance Required
Overview
You will design, deploy, and optimize cloud-based database systems to support federal programs. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable data infrastructure that meets regulatory requirements. The role focuses on performance, security, backups, and disaster recovery across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This is a hands-on DevOps position at a mission-driven company accelerating government impact with modern cloud databases. You will stay current with cloud data trends to drive reliable, compliant solutions.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manage cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL)Monitor performance and optimize queries for efficiencyEnsure data security and regulatory compliancePerform backups, restores, and disaster recovery planningTroubleshoot database issues and support application deploymentAutomate routine tasks using scripting and automation toolsDocument configurations and processesStay updated on cloud database trends
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field3-10 years of experience in database administration with cloud focusActive Secret ClearanceProficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google CloudStrong SQL and NoSQL knowledge (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)Experience with performance tuning and optimizationFamiliarity with database security best practices and complianceAutomation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)Understanding of networking conceptsSecurity+ or equivalent certificationproblem-solvingattention to detailteam collaborationcloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)SQL and NoSQL databasesperformance tuning
