Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee all financial and accounting activities within our organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proven leadership experience and a commitment to operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reportingPrepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPDevelop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure complianceStandardize accounting policies and proceduresLead budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department headsOversee audits and coordinate with external auditorsSupport the CFO with ad hoc reports and special projectsEnsuring proper tax compliance and reportingMonitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize financial performanceProvide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-makingImplement and maintain financial systems and process improvementsProduce consolidated reports, dashboards, variance analyses, and commentary forexecutive leadership.Facilitate best practices sharing and continuous improvementProvide ROI analysis for initiatives, cost initiatives, and revenue opportunitiesThis role will be reporting directly to the CFOQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including leadership rolesMinimum of 3–5 years of experience as a ControllerStrong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsProficiency in accounting software and ERP systemsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to lead and develop a high-performing finance teamBenefits:Competitive salary based on experienceComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)Leadership development and continuing education opportunitiesDynamic and supportive work environment within a fast-growing companyIf you meet the qualifications outlined above and are ready to contribute your skills to the team at Hays Electrical Services, we encourage you to apply.
