In this role, you'll tackle the inspection of complex bridges, tunnels, and overhead sign structures. This role may offer the opportunity to perform analysis, as well as other structural engineering tasks for bridge systems. This position offers a dynamic schedule with a mix of on-site field work and office work with other team members. Under the guidance of Engineers, Technical Managers, and Project Managers, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.If you're passionate about bridges and eager to take on challenging projects, we invite you to apply and become a part of our innovative and growing team!What You’ll DoInspection Team Leader: Complete field inspections to determine the structural condition of bridges and other structuresInspection Reports: Write technical inspection reports and review the work of other staffCAD Drawings: Prepare CAD drawings as needed for bridge and highway projectsBridge Structural Analysis: Assist with the structural analysis of bridges and other structures, as neededManage Schedules and Budgets: Assist Project Managers with meeting project deliverables and budgetsRelationship Building: Build and maintain strong connections with employees, clients, and other collaborators to achieve remarkable resultsAssist with other design and analysis tasks, reports, and other supporting documentation associated with various bridge projectsOther duties as assignedWhat You Need To SucceedBS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university required5-8+ years of relevant experienceEIT certificationExperience in inspection, load rating, or structural designActive Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 6 monthsFamiliarity with various software packages such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, MathCAD, Microsoft Office, AASHTOWare BrR/BrD, MIDAS, and LARSAAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and other contract documentsAdditional RequirementsCommitment to quality, accuracy, safety, and efficiencyAbility to manage structural assignments from concept through construction documentationCapable of working at heights, in confined spaces, able to use ladders, and work alongside live traffic Safety conscious and responsible for personal and team safetyValid driver’s license and can obtain a DOT Medical Certificate for operating bucket trucks and company vehiclesAvailable for night and weekend work as needed OSHA & First Aid training preferredCompensationThe approximate compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $135,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
