Full job description Job Opportunity: Large-Format Printer & CNC Operator Position Type: Full-Time We provide a broad range of services including design rendering, technical build drawing, CNC routing, and professional installation/deinstallation of custom props and sets for events/popups, retail, film and TV. We are located in Maspeth, Queens with over 11,000 sq ft of shop space. We pride ourselves on sharp execution and rapid turnaround times without ever sacrificing quality. We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-obsessed Large-Format Printer Operator to join our production team. Key Responsibilities Print Production: Set up, operate, and maintain flatbed and roll-to-roll large-format printers. File Prep & QC: Review and proof digital files for accuracy before production, ensuring correct dimensions, resolution, and color profiles. Quality Control: Maintain an eagle-eye focus on detail—inspecting outputs for banding, color accuracy, registration errors, and material defects. Finishing & Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Assist with basic finishing (weeding, laminating, trimming) to keep jobs moving. What We Are Looking For Proven Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience running flatbed/roll-to-roll printers in a dedicated sign shop or production print environment. The Fast-Paced Mindset: You don't stress under a tight deadline; you get focused. You know how to prioritize tasks on a crowded production floor. Attention to Detail: "Good enough" isn't in your vocabulary. You catch the typos, the color shifts, and the minor alignment issues before the job is finished. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout all stages of production Communication: Fluency in English is a strict requirement. You must be able to read complex work orders, communicate seamlessly with design and installation teams, and follow precise technical instructions. Material Savvy: Strong knowledge of signage substrates, vinyl types, and CNC bits/feeds/speeds for different materials. Proficiency in prepress software is a must. Preferably Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for file preparation and layout design Expertise in color management techniques to ensure vibrant and consistent output Familiarity with graphic design principles, typography, and print advertising standards Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively during production runs Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout all stages of production Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods on the production floor. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and rolls of media (up to 50 lbs). What We Offer Competitive hourly wage / salary (commensurate with experience). Paid time off.
