General Manager of Restaurant Operations

DescriptionThe General Manager of Restaurant Operations plays a vital role in our establishment. This position requires a strong passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests, characterized by friendly, prompt, and accurate service in a clean and safe ambiance. The General Manager will oversee all activities within the restaurant, focusing on: Creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. Meeting and exceeding sales targets. Managing expenses within budget guidelines. Fostering a lively and engaging workplace that encourages team members to shine while providing top-notch service. Leading a team that includes an Assistant Manager, Shift Leaders, and various Team Members, with direct reports varying depending on the restaurant's sales volume and location. Key Duties/Responsibilities:Foster a vibrant and energetic service environment that surpasses guest expectations for friendly, prompt, and accurate service. Cultivate team commitment to guest service excellence. Engage with guests regularly to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in service and food quality. Address and resolve all guest concerns in-person or over the phone, utilizing the THANKS model: Thank, Help, Apologize, Never Argue, Kindness and Service. Ensure prompt and courteous handling of all incoming calls. Conduct regular training sessions for team members. Provide continuous feedback and coaching to team members and track improvements. Collaborate with direct reports to enhance skills through cross-training and development. Create a workplace where team members are motivated to excel, recognized for their achievements, and enjoy their work. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for guests and staff. Oversee budget management and make financial adjustments as needed. Ensure adherence to labor laws. Enforce and maintain all company policies and procedures. Manage restaurant inventory to ensure organization and accessibility. Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of all equipment. Prepare and analyze operational reports. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):High school diploma or GED required. Must have 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry. Eligibility to work in the United States. Completion of all training and passing of all applicable tests is necessary. Access to a vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance are required. Ability to work up to 50 hours per week, including flexible shifts and weekends. Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant policies, practices, operational, and human resources procedures. Understanding of labor cost reporting, operating statements, and relevant business reporting. Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor for both internal and external interactions. Basic computer proficiency. Knowledge of profit and loss statements. Ability to implement policies and procedures effectively. Skilled in employee development through coaching and building strong work habits. Dedicated to continuously enhancing customer satisfaction. Aptitude for recruiting and interviewing potential team members. Ability to supervise and manage others, resolving conflicts effectively. Commitment to creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
