Lead Process Engineer Tool Install

DescriptionDiscover your exciting roleThe Tool Install Lead Process Engineer is responsible for working with a tool install design team on projects. Systems can include distribution of high purity gases and chemicals, specialty chemicals, and high purity water, waste treatment, and clean and support utilities.Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesWorks with or leads a team of engineers and/or designers to create and document designs fulfilling the project design scope consistent with industry-accepted practice as well as client-preferred standards, with minimal supervision.Develops tool install designs from Concept Phase through Construction Documents.Responsible for quality control and approval of concepts, basis of design, process flow diagrams (PFD's), process and instrumentation diagrams, piping and equipment plans, details, specifications, cost, and schedule for all Process Systems to meet the project requirementsMonitors team progress to ensure design team is on trackContributes to the Tool Install Knowledge Center via documenting lessons learned, completing Continuous Improvement Plan assignments, and use of information developed by others in process disciplineSupports project on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as technical consultantSupports the Project Design Manager and Construction Manager with Fee Development Guide, change orders, quality assurance, scheduling, progress report outs, interdisciplinary coordination, and other responsibilities as agreed to by the project lead and/or Discipline DirectorWorks as a Task Force Lead coordinating with Regional System Experts and project leads to identify and develop system specific standard tools (drawings, specifications, checklists, calculators) for lean project execution, promoting project to project repeatability and consistency across ATF segmentsMentors and trains junior staffDevelops manpower and labor cost requirements for a project and monitor them to aid in evaluating project schedule and budgetProvides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertiseDevelops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline teamDevelops conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and InstrumentationDiagrams, general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systemsCoordinates with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design officesCoordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring other disciplines' inputs are incorporatedOther duties as assignedShow your expertiseMinimum RequiredEducation: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License required8+ years of experienceExperience in leading teams and workgroups, small to medium projectsPreferredNation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record preferredPrior experience with advanced technologyPrior experience in consulting engineeringExperience working within a team environmentExperience in the quality control review processExperience contributing to continuous improvement processesSkills & KnowledgeDetailed understanding of all core Process Systems used in ATF and / or LSC projectsDetailed knowledge and understanding of industry codes and standards applicable for their process system design and specificationsDetailed understating of Lean execution principles for design of projectsGood time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to detailsGood verbal and written communication skillsMust be a strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, department leads, and client representativesAbility to train team on lean principles needed to design and manage projectEnergetic and self-motivatedAbility to mentor and train junior staffAbility build and maintain positive and productive working relationships both internal and externalExcellent verbal and written communication skillsApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Non-Solicitation: We are not currently accepting third-party agency candidates for this position.
