Quality engineer Automotive
Position Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the development of quality systems and procedures for our manufacturing facility. This position will work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that all products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical engineering, electronics, or manufacturing technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality systems and procedures for production equipment.
Develop and document procedures, processes, and methods.
Perform inspections to ensure that production equipment is in compliance with specifications and standards.
Ensure that all production equipment is in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Review all incoming product for quality issues prior to being accepted for shipment.
Provide support to the manufacturing team on quality issues.
Support the development of quality programs and procedures.
Support the development of new product lines.
Must have experience in working with customers on new launches of automotive parts
Support the development of new processes and methods.
Participate in meetings with customers regarding product quality issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KPI
Experience working in an organization that has a well-implemented “Safety Culture” is a plus.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
Necessary
Leadership, teamwork and communication skills;
IT Knowledge in terms of Word, Excel, Internet e Electronic Mail.
Knowledge and Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing);
Knowledge in ISO/TS 16949 / ISO 14001/ VDA 6.
Good Knowledge of quality tools as 5 PB;
Knowledge of following tools: APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), QSA QSA (Quality System Assessment), FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Customer Specific´s, Critical Incident, VSM (Value Stream Mapping), etc.;
Experience/Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience. Experience in assembly or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
Must have a strong background in QA/QC/OSHA requirements as well as IATF 16949 standards and must be able to demonstrate knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). Must possess a strong background in robotic technology or Metal Stamping.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
