Dynamic Construction Project Administrator

SUMMARYAjax Building Company is seeking a proactive and highly organized Project Administrator to play a key role in supporting our field operations teams on complex commercial construction projects across the Southeast. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced project teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while helping drive the successful execution of meaningful, high-impact projects that shape the communities we serve. Ideal candidates thrive in a detail-oriented environment, enjoy supporting multiple stakeholders, and take pride in keeping projects organized and running efficiently from start to finish.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPreparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, and change ordersReview and approval of subcontractor certificates of insuranceReview and approval of subcontract security (bonds, letters of credit, etc.)Prepare and distribute bid packages and addendums on CM projectsPrepare outgoing correspondence, reports, and project documentationPrepare owner pay applications and change ordersPrepare and distribute project directoriesMaintain project filing systems, archive files, and jobsite recordsPerform various notary duties related to pay requests, bids, and contractsFollow up with subcontractors regarding outstanding contracts, insurance, bonds, and other required documentationPrepare weekly packages for satellite and jobsite officesAssist with additional administrative and operational tasks as neededQUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; administrative or secretarial coursework preferredPrior administrative or office support experience requiredConstruction industry experience or knowledge preferredIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detailWorking knowledge of general office equipmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional demeanor and excellent phone etiquetteAbility to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organizationABOUT AJAXFounded in 1958, Ajax Building Company is a leading commercial contractor delivering complex, high-impact projects across the Southeast.
