Simulation Platform Engineer (AI & Cloud)

Location: Germany (multiple locations, hybrid) Start date: ASAP or by agreement About the Role We are looking for an experienced Simulation Platform Engineer to design and build scalable simulation environments that integrate seamlessly with modern cloud data platforms and AI workflows. In this role, you will work at the intersection of simulation systems, cloud infrastructure, and machine learning pipelines , helping to develop robust architectures that support advanced data-driven simulations. You will be involved across the entire lifecycle, from evaluating technologies and designing architectures to implementing integrations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy system-level thinking, complex architectures, and building platforms that enable AI-driven innovation. What You Will Do Design and define the architecture of scalable simulation environments Evaluate and benchmark simulation platforms and technologies Develop integration concepts between simulation outputs, Data Lakes, and ML pipelines Ensure interoperability between simulation systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI workflows Collaborate with Cloud, Data Engineering, and ML teams to ensure performance and scalability Define APIs and interfaces enabling reliable system communication and data exchange Implement DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform, Kubernetes) Align system architecture with customer requirements and external technology providers Ensure long-term maintainability, reliability, and scalability of the platform What We Are Looking For Hands-on experience integrating simulation systems with Data Lakes or ML pipelines Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems Experience designing APIs and service interfaces Practical knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD workflows Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, or similar infrastructure tools (preferred) Strong analytical thinking and system-level architectural mindset Ability to collaborate across Cloud, Data, and AI teams English (C1) required, German is a plus About P3 Group P3 Group is an international management consultancy driving innovation across the automotive, logistics, and industrial sectors .
