Then join our team!We have a great opportunity for a Calibration Technician to join our team in Pleasanton, CA. There may be limited overnight travel. Trescal offers healthcare benefits effective day one, mileage reimbursement, food per diem, and other benefits and perks.In This Role You WillPerform calibrations on high level and unique test and measurement instrumentation at customer locations (on-site) and in the Pleasanton calibration laboratory. Some overnight travel may be requiredUse your troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to work on unique equipmentInteract directly with customer to determine needs relating to traceability, adequacy of standards and test procedures utilized by Trescal, Inc., as well as, for items requiring repair or limited calibrationAssist Quality Assurance in developing uncertainty budgetsManage workload distribution for the technicians within his/her sphere of influence when the Laboratory manager is not availableRequirementsQUALIFICATIONSAs a Calibration Technician You Should PossessMilitary (PMEL) training or technical Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.Familiarity with calibration processes preferred. Experienced in calibrating several disciplines of test and measurement equipment such as:DimensionalMassTorquePressureTemperatureHumidityDC LowFlowNote: You do not have to have experience in all disciplinesWorking knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 requirements preferredAbility and willingness to mentor or train other technicians, as neededStrong Communication skills including written, verbal and listening skillsProficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Internet Research and database managementExcellent attention to detail and multi-tasking abilityStrong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workloadMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving recordMust be willing to perform on-site work with some overnight travel possibleAnd We Would PreferExperience working in a GMP environment preferably in a pharmaceutical or bio-tech companyKnowledge of ANSI / NCSL Z-540-1 and ISO 9000Experience using Calibration Software such as: LabView, SURE/CAL and Met/CalBenefitsWe believe people are the most important part of every business, which is why we offer more than just great health insurance plans at a great rate.
