Who you are – Asset Management Specialist

What you'll do
Responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of all HFCU software and hardware assets within the credit union; including procurement of new technologies, and the development and implementation of procedures for tracking company assets.
Provide deskside support to branches over phone or in person. Cover phones and tickets queue during on-call and late shifts or as needed
Image new workstations; setup new hire desks; and remove hardware if and when a person is terminated
Procure necessary hardware, software and licenses based upon organizational needs
Manage hardware assets from procurement to end of life
Reconcile and submit hardware and software invoices for approval
Ensure that we have adequate and valid licenses for each software always requiring a license
Ensure that all IT contracts & warranties are captured in SD+ and maintained. As contracts are nearing expiration, reach out to IT owner and determine renewal requests. Coordinate renewal as necessary.
Identify and apply proper data classifications to all assets
Manage and maintain the hardware, software, contract and license inventories
Help with branch closings and openings by removing or setting up workstations and other hardware
Responsible for desk moves including moving hardware and other accessories to different locations
Act as the asset deployment subject matter expert
Manage hardware recycling and hard drive disposal, certificates of destruction
Facilitate positive and productive vendor relationships such as sending workstations out for repair and receiving them after they are repaired
Review, test and follow all HFCU ordering standards
Prepare and present monthly and annual asset management, license and contract reports
Assumes additional responsibilities as needed, required or requested, from time to time
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
Strong desire to work in a purpose driven organization
Bachelor's degree in information systems or information technology preferred; or equivalent experience
Experience in IT procurement and asset management
Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and be able to handle pressure. Prefer candidates with demonstrated experience in analyzing and presenting data to management.
Must maintain accurate record-keeping
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
Must possess strong interpersonal skills required and able to work independently on assignments.
Must be able to see structure and bring order to undefined (or poorly defined) processes, as well as develop and implement processes, are a necessity.
Physical Demands/Conditions Required:
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Education
Required
Bachelors or better in Information Technology or related field
