A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work as a Whole House Resource Pool RN floating between ICU, PCU, and MS units • 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (4x12s available by request) • Must be comfortable working all three specialties with experience in ratios up to 1:5 • Staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours with potential to float 2-3 times per shift • Weekend requirement: EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block • Must work one holiday per 13-week contract • EPIC charting experience required • Patient ratios: ICU 2:1, PCU 5:1, MS 6:1 (may flex up to 7:1) • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • 2 years ICU experience from large L1/L2 facility required • Must be skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration • Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, suctioning (ETT, NT) • Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, titrating cardiac drips • Capable of managing continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, IV insulin protocols • 24-hour orientation provided • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • Adult and geriatric patient population Facility: This 703-bed acute care teaching hospital serves as the flagship facility of a major healthcare system and is the region's only Level I Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients.
