Job Overview
We are seeking a capable and confident individual to cover kitchen shifts as needed. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food service and kitchen operations. Must be ServSafe certified. We will need someone who can adjust to a changing menu to help as we work to improve.
Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble meals according to menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Assist with menu planning and adjustments
Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, cooking, plating, and portioning using proper knife skills and techniques
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in accordance with health regulations
Ensure all kitchen opening and closing procedures are followed
Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock to prevent waste
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Qualifications
Previous experience infood service is preferred
Knowledge of menu planning, food safety protocols, and kitchen equipment operation
Strong food handling skills, including knife proficiency and meal preparation techniques
ServSafe Certified
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to adapt to various shifts or special event requirements
Formal culinary training or certifications related to food safety are a plus
We pay competitive wages and offer accrued PTO.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
