Student Center Summer Staff (Adjunct)

Summer Staff play an important role in the success of the facility, offices, and programs and work under the direct supervision of the Audiovisual Operations Coordinator and will receive additional direction from Student Involvement professional staff for specific projects.Duties/ResponsibilitiesProviding general and technical support for events throughout the facility Facilitating room set-ups throughout the facility for meetings, programs, and events throughout the summerProviding coverage for the Student Center Information Desk during hours of operationGreeting visitors, answering the phone, basic review of 25Live scheduling information, and answering common questionsAssisting professional staff members with temporary projects, initiatives, and administration of programs and events over the course of the summerAttending scheduled Summer Staff meetings with professional staff as appropriateGreeting and assisting all users of the Student Center facility and Office of Student Involvement promptly and professionallyCommunicating appropriately with professional staff, students, and all visitors to the facilityAnswering the phone in a professional manner and properly handling all messagesOpening, closing, and monitoring the facility, ensuring the safety and security of guests and resourcesAdhering to departmental policies regarding office etiquette & displaying a willingness to learn new skillsMinimum QualificationsThe Summer Staff must have an understanding of and appreciation for the L.P. Young Student Center and the role of the Office of Student Involvement at Keene State College. These students must:Be a current Student Center/Student Involvement employeeExhibit excellent interpersonal skillsHave a strong attention to detailExhibit the ability to work well on their ownMust be willing to work occasional nights/weekends as needed Compensation Pay Range$14.00 per hourKeene State College is located in the scenic Monadnock region of Southwest New Hampshire and is an affiliate of the University System of New Hampshire.
