This role will be instrumental in driving accurate accounting, including revenue recognition, compliance with accounting standards, and scalable financial operations as we grow.As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the accounting close and financial reporting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Legal, Fund Management, and Treasury, to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606, ASC 310, and company policies. You will also support month-end close, audits, and the implementation of scalable processes and systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset to help scale and optimize financial operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly and quarterly journal entries, account reconciliation, and related schedulesEnsure timely and accurate completion of the close-related accounting processes and reconciliation of assigned accountsAnalyze and explain fluctuations in account balancesLead revenue recognition and ensure compliance with ASC 606, 310, and 326 for multiple revenue streams, including platform revenue/asset management feesReview operating agreements and identify key terms that impact revenue recognitionOwn the month-end revenue close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysisSupport the implementation and optimization of close management applications, and automation tools (e.g., Floqast, Numeric)Document policies, procedures, and internal controls related to revenue and other key processesSupport ad hoc financial information requests and analyses, and other special projects as assignedPrepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during external auditsTrain and mentor junior team members as the company scalesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferredFintech industry and broker-dealer experience preferred7+ years of progressive experience in accounting; a combination of industry and Big 4 experience is a plusDeep understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, 310, 326Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., NetSuite, Looker)Strong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across departmentsComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environmentWhat’s in it for you:Competitive compensation packages, including equityHealth, dental & vision coverage with FSA/HSA optionsUnlimited PTO401k MatchCommuter benefitLife insuranceSabbaticalThis is a remote-eligible role. The base salary range for this position is USD 120,000 to 175,000 annually. Compensation may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for equity compensation as part of the total compensation package.
