If so, consider joining our team as a Lab Assistant PRN in our laboratory at Northwest Medical Center Springdale.Key responsibilities of this role include:Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen toolsDisposing of contaminated sharps, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policiesDrawing blood from veins by vacuum tube, syringe, or butterfly venipuncture methodsDisposing of blood and other biohazard fluids or tissue, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, or policiesDrawing blood from capillaries by dermal puncture, such as heel or finger stick methodsPerforms activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment. Records observations and measurements and reports results. Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and equipment. Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment.
