The business develops customer-facing financial solutions and operates with a strong engineering culture, combining modern software practices with emerging AI tooling to accelerate product delivery and engineering quality.Their teams work remotely across Europe and collaborate closely across Engineering, Product, and Design in a highly ownership-driven environment.As part of continued growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Full Stack Engineer to play a key role in delivering and evolving their next generation of financial products.The RoleThis is a senior-level Full Stack position focused on building and delivering complex financial solutions end to end. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to design, develop, and own services across the stack while helping solve real production challenges.The role suits someone who enjoys ownership, modern engineering practices, technical collaboration, and building products within a fast-paced FinTech environment.Key Responsibilities• Develop and deliver new financial products and platform capabilities end to end• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to shape requirements and define solutions• Take ownership of delivered functionality, including ongoing maintenance and optimisation• Build and maintain applications using Angular, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases• Contribute to architectural discussions and influence technical direction• Perform high-quality code reviews with a strong focus on readability, security, maintainability, and testing• Improve automation, delivery workflows, and engineering efficiency• Build and maintain containerised applications using Docker• Contribute to cloud-based environments, ideally within GCP• Help maintain engineering quality across reliability, observability, and operational excellence• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and modern engineering practicesEssential Experience• 7+ years of commercial software engineering experience• Strong frontend engineering experience using Angular and TypeScript• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React• Backend development experience using Java and Spring Boot• Experience working with relational databases• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised environments• Exposure to cloud platforms, ideally GCP• Strong understanding of software design principles and engineering best practices• Experience conducting constructive code reviews• Track record of driving automation and engineering improvements• Clear and confident communication skills in EnglishNice to Have• Experience with reliability engineering and incident response processes• Knowledge of web security best practices• Experience with feature flagging, A/B testing, and progressive delivery• Exposure to architectural design and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)• Experience working within distributed remote teams• Experience operating within FinTech or regulated environmentsWhat’s on Offer• Permanent fully remote role across EU / EEA / UK• Location-independent compensation philosophy• Health insurance and pension benefits (varies by location)• Flexible working hours within reasonable overlap windows• Access to modern AI tooling to accelerate software delivery• Strong engineering culture focused on quality and ownership• Close collaboration with Product and Design teams• Opportunity to influence technical direction and architecture• Real-world experience operating within regulated financial environmentsFlexible WorkingThis is a remote-first environment with flexibility around working hours and collaboration patterns.
