Hematology/Oncology Physician

Location: Hartford, ConnecticutPosition Type: Locum Tenens Physician Hematology-Oncology Overview We are seeking a Board Certified Hematology-Oncology Physician for a 6 12 month locum assignment with extension potential. This role includes a mix of inpatient consults and outpatient clinic coverage, supporting an established and collaborative oncology team in a Level I Trauma Center environment. Practice Highlights • 80% Hematology and 20% Oncology patient mix• Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic responsibilities• Established team of 10 Physicians and 8 APPs• Average patient volume: 10 patients per day inpatient and 15 patients per day outpatient• Adult and geriatric patient population• Level I Trauma Center facility• EMR: Epic• Collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team Candidate Requirements • Board Certified in Hematology-Oncology REQUIRED• Active Connecticut medical license REQUIRED (must be in hand at submission)• Clean malpractice and background history REQUIRED• NPDB Self-Query report required at time of submission (must be current within the same month)• Local candidates highly preferred (no flights provided) Schedule & Coverage • Schedule: 3 clinic days per week (Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM)• Assignment length: 6 months to 1 year with possibility of extension• Call schedule: Nights 1:10 rotation and weekends approximately 2 3 per year• Call includes weekend call, night call, and callback coverage• Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 130 days Why Hartford, Connecticut?
