We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Ashburn, Virginia.A Field Service Technician is responsible for performance of preventative maintenance, maintaining, and repairing Critical Power Systems at customer sites, for Hanley equipment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, rapid restoration of failed equipment, and effective communication with site teams, as well as providing emergency support during call outs and late shifts. The engineer must possess skills and/or familiarity in power electronics, electrical equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively manage time, are essential. Prior experience in industrial or switchgear manufacturing, and a proactive team-oriented approach are also key requirements for success in this role.Role Requirements and Responsibilities:Ability willingness to travel on a regular basis across IAD area.Service, maintenance, and repair of existing and newly installed Critical Power Systems - including ATS, PLCs, and shunt devices at all customer sites.Responsible for coordination and communication with the site team to complete the project tasks.Testing to ensure they are working correctly.Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.Perform maintenance and provide customer support.Diagnose problems and be involved in solution to resolve any issues.Maintain excellent communication with all departments.Responsible for completing all computerized documentation.Some scheduled weekend emergency call out service and late shift work involved.Join 24/7 rota system providing emergency cover for customers.Job Qualifications TitleQualificationsJob QualificationsSkills/Requirements:Critical Power Field Service Engineer role requires a familiarity of power systems.Experience working in either industrial or switchgear manufacturing industries.Experience with electrical equipment maintenance and troubleshootingExperience/understanding of DC systems.Full clean driving licenseFlexibility and high mobility required.Have a positive, pro-active approach to working in a team environment along with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
