The Summer Help - Facilities position supports the maintenance and upkeep of company buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role assists with a variety of hands-on tasks to ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, performing physical tasks, and contributing to a team environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform lawn care duties including mowing, trimming, and general grounds maintenanceAssist with landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, and weed controlRemove debris, trash, and unwanted materials from facility grounds and substationsSet up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings and eventsPrepare surfaces and assist with painting projects as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization of office spaces, warehouse, and shop areasRun errands to pick up parts, tools, and supplies from local vendorsClean interior and exterior windowsMaintain accurate vehicle and equipment usage logsAssist with general maintenance tasks and miscellaneous projects as assignedRequired Qualifications:Must be at least 16 years of age; valid driver's license requiredAbility to work both outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with othersSafely operate equipment such as riding mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and power sweepersAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to perform physical labor, including occasional lifting of up to 50 poundsAbility to work at heights as neededAbility to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently and in a timely mannerSafety Class:This position is considered a safety-sensitive position. This position is subject to pre-employment drug screens. This position is also subject to random drug screening during employment. Both screenings include cannabis and hemp-derived productsPay and Benefits:Pay rate: $16.00/hrAccrual of Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) and 4 hours paid for any MVEC observed holiday while employed.Schedule:Seasonal position working full-time (Monday - Friday) through the summer months (June - August).Applicant must be committed to providing service beyond members' expectations and follow through on commitments.
