We're seeking an Occupational Therapist to help develop, recover and maintain the daily living and work skills of people with physical, mental, or developmental conditions. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities. Part time hours located at 1 ALF in Kimberly and 1 ALF in Green Bay. No drive between facilities during the workday. Potential for additional hours in other nearby facilities.Position SummaryAn Occupational Therapist is a skilled, registered and licensed professional who evaluates and treats patients referred by a physician. Treatment approaches utilize occupational modalities, supervision of occupational therapist assistants and/or rehabilitation techs, and/or exercise to relieve pain and/or restore function.ResponsibilitiesAddress client's aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life qualitySelect and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventionsApply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable componentsAssess client's home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilitiesRecommend adaptive equipment and train in its useGuide and educate family members and caregiversObserve, note, and report on the progress of long and short term treatment goalsCollect data and document processes followedRegularly follow-up clientSkillsProven working experience as an Occupational TherapistExcellent knowledge of principles and practices of Occupational TherapyAbility to manage patients with different types of personalitiesCurrent knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grown in the professionProfessional behaviorExcellent interpersonal communication skillsEDUCATION AND TRAINING Occupational therapists must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum.Licensure Or Registry RequirementsOccupational therapists must be licensed in the state practicing by the Board of Occupational Therapy.Apply directly on our website- https://paxxon.workbrightats.com
