This role is perfect for a leader who is passionate about managing both the tactical and strategic sides of business operations.A day in the life as a Floor Manager...Manages effective labor plans to ensure proper staffing levels according to budgets for overtime, full-time and temporary laborEnsures productivity measurement standards are metIdentifies and resolves critical distribution issues for inbound and outbound processesImplements improvements for operational flows and reassigns staff as necessaryCreates an environment that fosters open and positive team communicationFacilitates team meetingsParticipates in the interviewing and hiring process for distribution center associatesResponsible for ensuring staff are properly trainedSupports all efforts and initiatives across the operationPerforms safety observations in conjunction with job observations to coach and counsel associates on proper safety proceduresLeads investigations for safety incidents and injuries by performing root cause analysis to remove future potential safety hazardsPlays an active role in the participation of all safety programs and acts as a role model for all associates.Oversees and implements company and OSHA guidelines and programs to contribute to a safe working environment for all associatesServes a backup for other floor managers as necessaryParticipates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the positionWhat You'll Bring To The Table...Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management SystemComputer skills, proficiency with Google applications, MS Word & ExcelAbility to resolve problemsStrong time management, organizational, planning skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlinesBasic math skills; detail-orientedAbility to effectively communicate verbally and written formStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and culturesWe'd love to hear from you if you have…Minimum 5 years distribution experience, 2 years supervisory experienceAssociate’s Degree in related field preferred
