Engineer III

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer III for a Contract position with a client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions using engineering principles, with the ability to support both office‐based engineering work and occasional field activities.Rate Range: $30/hour to $35/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Engineer job responsibilities include:* Design and develop systems, components, or processes based on project specifications and requirements.* Conduct testing, analysis, and evaluations to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to support project planning and execution.* Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings to communicate engineering concepts.* Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing effective solutions.* Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.* Support both in‐office engineering tasks and field work when required.* Work within a small team of engineers (5 members + 1 manager).Desired Qualifications:* Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or another approved engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.* Minimum five (5) years' experience in utility design or related project construction design.* Professional Engineer (PE) License required (Engineer will contribute to engineering work, while the Manager-also a PE-serves as Engineer of Record).* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with strong attention to detail.* Proficiency in Microsoft tools and internal engineering applications; experience with Synergi preferred.* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering data.* Strong organizational and time‐management abilities.* Effective communication and teamwork skills.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
