Junior IT Analyst

Job DescriptionTalint's client, a management consulting firm providing innovative solutions and best practices to government and commercial organizations, received the Best Places to Work in Greater Washington by the #WashingtonBusinessJournal for the sixth year in a row.Our client has an opening for a Jr IT Analyst to provide IT Audit consulting for the US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), a part of the Department of Defense (DoD). The right candidate will have 0-2 years of IT experience. If you don’t have any IT Audit experience, must have an interest in it. Must be a US Citizen. Preferences will be given to those with a DoD Secret Clearance. This role requires you to work at least three days a week in the office at Scott Air Force Base.Desired Skills & Experience:US Citizen; Preferred DoD Secret Clearance;Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar;0-2 years of IT experience;Outstanding organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail;Must have great communications skills, both verbal and written;Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities:Conduct reviews of a designated critical feeder and core accounting systems for compliance with applicable standards;Support the execution of test plans to evaluate design and operating effectiveness of IT controls. Provide support in reviewing and mapping the Statement of Standards for Attestation Engagements 18 reports, reviewing and testing Complimentary User Entity Controls (CUEC), and providing the test results;Help develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and remediation testing. Support training as requested by program managers.
