Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Location: Frederick, MD Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $840 to $960 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $28.00 - $32.00/Hourly. Summary: A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. The COTA assists in implementing therapy programs designed to improve patients’ physical, cognitive, and motor skills, helping them achieve greater independence. Responsibilities: Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans and therapy programs. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve mobility, coordination, and daily living skills. Provide therapy to patients with physical, developmental, or cognitive limitations. ⁠Help patients practice daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, eating, and household tasks. Support patients in developing fine motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities. Encourage patient participation and motivation during therapy sessions. Requirements Requirements: 1 - Year experience Required, BLS Certification, COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant), Degree from a ACOTE accredited school, Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in Maryland.
