Development Associate
Position Summary
The Development Assistant supports the Development Team Lead and Executive Director by providing administrative, logistical, and creative support across CVIM’s fundraising, events, marketing, and donor stewardship efforts. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day development activities, maintaining accurate records, supporting donor communications, and assisting with successful event operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing
1. Manage, plan, create, and schedule content across all CVIM social media platforms, including support for targeted advertising campaigns
2. Manage regular updates and basic design of the CVIM website, including SEO strategies to improve visibility and user experience
3. Manage and maintain the clinic’s email database and plan, create, and schedule effective email campaigns
4. Design and produce high-quality marketing materials that align with CVIM’s mission, branding, and organizational goals
Event Support
1. Attend all CVIM fundraising events and committee meetings
2. Assist with event planning and execution, including logistics, timelines, permits, insurance, and coordination with vendors and service providers as assigned by the Development Team Lead
3. Assist with recruiting, scheduling, and supporting event volunteers
4. Maintain event supplies, track event-related purchases, and support sponsorship/auction fulfillment and recognition
Development Support
1. Provide overall administrative support for the Development Lead
2. Support donor stewardship activities
3. Assist with CRM maintenance
4. Maintain and update development tracking sheets
5. Assist with preparation, printing, and mailing of campaign letters and donor communications
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Assist with special projects as assigned by the Development Team Lead
2. Maintain strict patient, personnel, clinic, and donor confidentiality
3. Support teamwork and collaboration across departments
4. Oversee prospecting research for new donors, event sponsors, and in-kind partners
5. Chair volunteer appreciation committee and coordinate annual volunteer appreciation event
Minimum Qualifications
· 2+ years of relevant experience required, nonprofit experience preferred
· Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven, team-oriented environment
· Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with all levels of management, staff, patients, and volunteers
· Experience in Canva, SquareSpace, Constant Contact, or other related programs preferred
· Must hold a valid driver’s license
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
