Document Control Specialist**All candidates MUST have experience in construction industry**Duties:Assist the management personnel/plan checkers/permit technicians in processing and facilitating public inquiries and plan check submissions, and other general correspondence. Perform screening of permit applications for completeness, Title 24, architectural/structural requirements, etc. Assist in tracking submission backlogs and provide current status of submitted plans/submissions. Establish and maintain a project document filing system in accordance with established County procedures. Prepare reports in accordance with established procedures and forms. Enter and track the following documents: plan submittals, permit applications, internal performance of review times and plans status, payment status. Document Controller maintains all logs. Establish and maintain hard file systems. Knowledge and experience with SharePoint and Sharefile is preferred.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of document control experience in the construction field. Experience in reading construction plan is preferred. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software. Must be detail oriented with effective organization and coordination skills. Must have ability to interface and communicate effectively with others and have a positive attitude. Experience with public agencies. Experience in preparing and reviewing written correspondences for formatting, punctuation, grammar, etc. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Ability to handle changing and increasing workload. Experience with OneDrive and/or other digital platforms is a plus. Strong in Excel use and spreadsheets is a must. Knowledge/use of other Project Control Software is a plus, but not necessary.
